Who Are We?
A group of eight friends (four of whom are called Joshua, hence all the last names) who have known each other for years and enjoy the kind of spirited adventure that you might find in a Jules Verne novel. We've each got our strengths and weaknesses so together we're capable of just about anything. Find out more about the individual members of the team on the Meet The Teams page.
What's The Plan?
We're going to tear our way through Europe leaving minimal amounts of devastation in our wake. Four of our team, Bally, George, Hammond and James have done this kind of thing before and headed south into Spain to see Valencia and the south of France. This time we're looking East and going further than we've ever travelled as a group before.
When Are We Going?
We start our journey in Preston, Lancashire on September 4 to get to London and then cross the channel on September 5. From there we're roaming across Europe for the following 10 days. The finer details of our route can be found on the Our Route page and currently we're still in the process of finalising what we're seeing and when.
Where Are We Travelling To?
Good question, as part of the official Motoscape Rally we'll be going through St Omer in France, Koblenz and Garmisch Partenkirchen in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and Czechoslovakia. And as we leave the organised event, we will set out on our own and continue our journey into Berlin and Amsterdam to sample even more European delights.
Why Are We Putting Ourselves Through It?
Another good question. Firstly, we all needed a holiday. Secondly, it's good to enjoy the open road and being able to see the world in a unique fashion, taking the path less travelled and making the most of our freedom from work and the drudgery of real life. Thirdly, we're all good mates and wanted to go on a big adventure that we'd remember rather than another beige package affair.
How Are We Going To Make It?
Two exquisite chariots will carry our feeble, human bodies from place to place. The most glorious cars available for under £330 and the pinnacle of human creation in the mid 90's. A 1996 Ford Explorer decked out to perfectly match the vehicles in Jurassic Park and a 1997 Toyota Celica which has been inspired by Brian O'Connor's Skyline from the Fast and Furious films.
