Bally HR Representative

A 21st century incarnation of Puck, Joshua Ball is a trickster and seemingly imbued with a mythological level of energy. Able to delay sleep for close to 48 hours, he is both the life and death of a party. Unable to know when to stop his damn mouth from running and without an off switch, he both delights and offends in equal measure.

Known as Bally to his friends and as “that prick” to those who have been in his presence for more than five minutes, his unique talents aren’t reserved for being as irritating as possible.

To those with whom he takes favour, Bally is compassionate and unnervingly kind. Not one to resist putting an extra shot in your drink or a pin on your chair as he presents it to you, every gift must be viewed with suspicion but ultimately accepted as the act of perverted kindness that it ultimately is.

With the outrageous amount of glee Bally derives from winding people up, it would be easy to mistake him for a tool AND a fool, but secretly, and he would hate you to know, he’s soft, honourable and on the path to becoming legend.

George Assistant to the Senior Logistics Co-Ordinator

While some may find him hard to define, George “Magic” Burrow, is actually the most easily distinguished of all eight drivers, because he’s a level 41 Planeswalker, and nobody can take that away from him.

Committed to a life in the depths of the strangest and geekiest parts of the world, Magic has earned his stripes (and outrageously pale chest) as one of the leading lights of the UK’s Magic The Gathering scene, even if he does resemble a Warboy with his shirt off.

Despite his commitment to an outrageously expensive and time-consuming cult, George still finds the time to do other things, including, but not limited to, going home to bed and berating his compadres.

Immensely proud of his possessions, including a particular folding table, Magic, does not take kindly to jokes, japes or jests that may potentially damage his property. Even though he seems more willing to host than be hosted.

Magic’s determination to be taken seriously is often in vain, his grave manner and irritable tone frequently ushering sniggers of laughter. A lover of well-oiled machines, his diligence is notable for a few certain victories, though his desire to drive them fast has resulted in more than one cracked axle and more broken dreams. Witness

Nick Senior Logistics Co-Ordinator

A lover of adventure as well as a grand old Hemingway-esque discussion, Nick works hard to ensure that nobody fully knows what to expect in his presence. He's dived through windows, run for miles and has a passable knowledge of any information available with an internet connection. He even reads the entire rulebook before playing any casual board game.

Such attributes may make him sound like a modern day superhero, and in some aspects he is. The fact remains that he is only a man, with mortal weaknesses.

While his discipline would occasionally put Tibetan monks to shame, Nick will succumb to the temptations of a strong gin and tonic and a stronger woman's arms. Occasionally seen grasping the wrong end of many straws or even attempting to leap bushes in a single bound.

Known for some more outlandish antics, his past is a foggy remnant though his future remains clear and fair sailing. His spirit animal may only be that of a furious wombat, it truly is a noble and proud creature.

Much like the explorers of old, he is conquering the world with a roguish charm, wit and a dashing smile. For he is a jolly good fellow.

Hammond Social Media Mogul

Seemingly filled with a desire to reach the height of hedonistic abandon, Hammond has little desire to do more than get drunk and have a good time. A love of food, drink and parties has taken a toll on his frame, leaving him to be forever known as “Fat Hammond”.

While his enthusiasm for drink often means that he can find trouble, or bring his more destructive tendencies to the fore, it also means that nobody else in our driving party would ever be left to drink alone.

When not intoxicated, he can frequently be found in a cinema, in front of a television or watching a band.

With little more to his life than exploring dive bars, going to gigs and eating buckets of popcorn, it is little wonder that Hammond’s general knowledge of film and television could rival that of Abed Nadir.

A lover of free-form thinking, rather than ever actually planning things, Fat Hammond is much more likely to think up as many half-baked ideas to get a job finished. Whether this is an efficient way to work has yet to be agreed upon.

Look out for him with a beer or a whiskey in his hand.
